Dr. Khoshnood is the Principal Investigator of an NIH/Fogarty International Center Research Ethics Training and Curriculum Development Program with China (2011-16), Adjunct Professor at Central South University in Changsha, China; member of the Yale-China Association Health Advisory Committee, and an Investigator on the Yale Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS Development Core.  Trained as an infectious disease epidemiologist, Dr. Khoshnood has more than two decades of domestic and international experience in HIV prevention research among drug users and other at risk populations, including its ethical aspects. Dr. Khoshnood has mentor over 20 postdoctoral trainees from China on HIV prevention and research ethics.  Dr. Khoshnood has authored more than 70 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals that focus on infectious disease epidemiology, evaluations of intervention studies, research ethics, and conflict and health.
