Tuition

Tuition:

We encourage students from all financial backgrounds to apply for the Yale Young Global Scholars-Beijing Program.

We will be releasing information on the 2018 program tuition in Fall 2017. Please continue to check back on our website for the latest information. Tuition includes instruction, housing, three meals per day, and processing fees. Students are responsible for transportation to and from Beijing.

Payment:

A non-refundable deposit, payable online, is due approximately two weeks after decisions are released. The remaining tuition balance is due at the end of December. If you are paying by wire transfer, please download these YYGS-Beijing Wire Transfer Instructions and then email yygs.beijing@yale.edu with your receipt.

Scholarship:

Thanks to the generosity of our two program sponsors, Qooco and the Alcoa Foundation, half of all students admitted to YYGS-Beijing will receive a full tuition, need-based scholarship to attend the program! In addition, all students who currently attend high school in China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Myanmar and who demonstrate financial need will also be eligible for a travel grant covering up to 100% of travel costs to and from Beijing. All students are automatically eligible for the scholarship by completing the “Scholarship” portion of the online application.

We will award scholarship based on greatest need demonstrated in your completed application. It is recommended that parents or guardians of applicants help students complete the required financial information.
